重溯文化協會新竹州支部負責人林冬桂及其創設的新光社新劇團，在1927年前後的活動。

透過史料爬梳、田野訪談、相關人物的日記與文字作品，探討新劇與文化協會、無政府主義的關係。呈現陳崁、周天啟、張維賢等南北兩路新劇先驅者們，在趨向軍國主義的時代變遷中，彼此匯聚合作，堅持理想的創作歷程。以及新光社在文協分裂及黑色青年聯盟逮補事件後，越挫越勇，卻因新竹騷擾事件而沈寂，如流星般短暫燦爛的事蹟。

劇中嘗試將1920年代與1980年代挑戰權威、多元開展的共通精神，互相交織，並與當代展開對話。

This play delves into the activities of Lin Dong-Gui, leader of the Hsinchu branch of the Taiwanese Cultural Association and the Shin Guang New Drama Society (新光社) around 1927. Through historical documents, field interviews, and writings, it explores the relationship between New Drama, Anarchism, and the Cultural Association during the 1920s-1930s. The narrative unfolds their resilient collaboration amid the shift towards militarism. Despite the Shin Kong Society’s resurgence post-Association split and the Taiwan Dark Youth Alliance’s incident, it faces a brief yet brilliant period, dimmed by harassment in Hsinchu. 

The play juxtaposes the 1920s and 1980s, engaging in a dialogue with contemporary ideals.
