離家 出走

The Unmoored

本展深受義大利作家皮藍德羅（Luigi Pirandello）作品《已故的帕斯卡》(Il fu Mattia Pascal )啟發，書中主角經歷「社會性死亡」後，得以卸下現行生活中既有的框條，離家出走，重塑人生，成為一名漂泊者。

展名「離家  出走」中央刻意留白，旨在預留一個讓觀者自行填補的自語空間，汲取如野草般柔軟而堅毅的韌性。本展將「家」定義為原生家庭內在規訓與現有居所的總和；而「離家 出走」 即是個體透過實踐身體游離與身分剝離的具體行動，重新塑造一個新生自我的可能性。

展覽囊括12位藝術創作者，展出20餘件橫跨1968年至2026年的多元媒材作品。這些作品折射出藝術家們，抑或你我生命中的瘋癲、虛廢、傷逝、自語、缺席與無常，展現出絢爛的生命光彩。

This exhibition is deeply inspired by Italian writer Luigi Pirandello’s Il fu Mattia Pascal, where the protagonist’s “social death” grants him an opportunity to shed his life’s existing frameworks, leave home, and reset himself as a wanderer.

The Chinese title, “離家 出走” (Leaving Home, Fleeing), deliberately incorporates a space to foster internal dialogue, enabling all wanderers to find unyielding resilience. We define “Home” as the totality of internalized native strictures and geographical location; “Leaving Home, Fleeing” signifies the individual’s tangible act of physical and identity detachment to reshape a new “self.”

The exhibition encompasses over 20 works in diverse media by 12 artists, spanning from 1968 to 2026. These works reflect madness, desolation, loss, introspection, absence, and impermanence in the lives of the artists and us, showcasing the vibrant brilliance of life.
